It was brought to my attention that there already is a script that does a similar thing. It's TransW00T by `dancewiththesky So whoever find this interesting, might as well check that script also.
Intro I believe that language shouldn't be a barrier for art sharing. Have you ever found yourself staring at some foreign language comment here on dA, having no clue what it says, but desperately trying to figure it out? Well, have no fear sayWhat is here to chase your worries away! ...kind of...
What's this? It's just a little something that crossed my mind while I was commenting on a deviation by ~GoranCaBuhOcTojuh. It's a greaseMonkey script that adds a small translate button on each comment here on deviantART. It uses the Google Ajax Language API to translate the comment from number of different languages to English (google does cross-translation, but this script currently translates only to English). It's not perfect, but it'll help you understand at least what the comment is generally all about. Neat.
Ok I want to try it. How do I install it? In order to use it, you must be using Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox, and you must have the Greasemonkey extension installed. Next, click the
to install the script and a greaseMonkey script installation window will open. To install the script press the "Install" button. A little translate button will be added on each comment, right above the "reply" button. And that's it. You're ready to go.
How do I use it? It cannot be simpler. You click the button, wait for the google server to respond, and the translation will magically appear where the old comment was. If you want to see the old comment again, just press the button again.
I hope you'll find this little script useful. Cheers.
To do It doesn't work in messageCenter Implement the same functionality for journals, news etc. Implement other languages than English. Implement the live translation of the comment that you're writing to other languages

dA is home to deviants all over the world, many of whom want to speak their own language on dA. On the other hand mutual understanding is vital for the community. sayWhat? by #ArtBIT solves this problem by translating foreign language comments to English, making them accessible to anyone. The script is a few years old but still works like a charm.
...I have no idea what collection I just put this in because my browser was being odd So don't be surprised if I added this to a cartoons collection or something
