randomLinks v0.3 by ArtBIT randomLinks v0.3 by ArtBIT
Support the Random Browsing!

Wait, what's this?
This is a greasemonkey script that places the Random Deviant and Random Deviation links where they belong - up in the mainBar next to your friends.

I mean, why?
Because 60% of the people are unaware of the Random Deviation and Random Deviant links down there on the bottom of the page.
Also, since they now show on the top, you don't need to scroll down to press them again if you want to jump to the next random deviant/deviation.

I want to start using it. How?
In order to use it, you must be using Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox, and you must have the Greasemonkey extension installed.
If you have any previous versions of randomLinks installed, uninstall them. (Firefox Menu>Tools>Greasemonkey>Manage User Scripts select the script and click uninstall)
Next, click
INSTALL LINK
to install the (newer) script and a greaseMonkey script installation window will open. To install the script press the "Install" button.
And that's it. Next time you open any page on deviantArt, this script will place a link to the random deviant/deviation on the mainBar next to the friends button.

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Cheers.

Thanks for submitting this and keeping it updated. It's certainly a much faster and more efficient way of utilizing these really neat random features than selecting them all the way on the bottom of a drop-down menu.  Great script and thanks again for creating it. :)

Heya, do you know if this user script still works? I recently had to reset my version of Firefox because I accidentally messed up the navigation bar in my browser and thus the layout was all screwed up, and I ended up losing all my add-ons and user scripts and had to reinstall them again.

I tried to reinstall your user script into my current version of Firefox which is up to date, but it's not working. It would load really slow, and then it would go to another page that said "The connection has timed out. The server at userscripts.org is taking too long to respond." The GreaseMonkey "Would you like to install this add-on?" pop-up came up on the same page and I hit install but nothing installed.

Is there something I'm maybe doing wrong here?

userscripts.com, the site which hosts all the scripts, seems to be down: www.downforeveryoneorjustme.co…
Please try again later, or tomorrow.

userscripts.org site has been shut down for good, apparently. There is a mirror site that you can access: userscripts-mirror.org/users/3…
